SHELTERS
For Lee County Citizens:
Southern Union Community Shelter will be open for those who live in RV’s, mobile homes or other vulnerable locations and do not have another suitable place to seek shelter. Lee County is expected to experience 20 to 30 mph sustained winds tomorrow with the potential for wind gusts 60 to 70 mph tomorrow during the overnight hours. We encourage you to seek out a safer area with family and friends if possible until the damaging winds have subsided. However, if that is not possible, you may utilize the Tornado Shelter at Southern Union State Community College on LaFayette Parkway. This is designed to be a safe location for a short period of time.
