DISASTER RECOVERY CENTER: A disaster recovery center in Sunrise is open to help Florida storm survivors.  The DRC is open 8am-8pm seven days a week until further notice.  The center offers in-person support to individuals and small business owners.  Recovery specialists from FEMA, the US Small Business Association, and the state are available to provide assistance to anyone filling out applications or updating their status.  Voluntary organizations are available and offer a variety of services to help survivors recover.

Registering with FEMA is the first step to recovery and requires information such as insurance policies and bank information for possible direct funding transfers.  Those impacted by the storm are encouraged to register prior to visiting the DRC.
