EVACUATION INFORMATION:

Jefferson Parish:  A MANDATORY evacuation has been issued for Lafitte, Barataria, Crown Point and Grand Isle.  Jefferson Parish Evacuation Assistance Registry – 504-349-5360

Lafourche Parish: A VOLUNTARY evacuation has been issued for Port Fourchon.    A MANDATORY evacuation has been issued for residents south of the Leon Theriot floodgates in Golden Meadow.  Lafourche Evacuation Assistance Registry – 985-537-7603.

Orleans Parish: A MANDATORY evacuation has been issued for Venetian Isles, Lake St. Catherine, and all areas outside the city’s flood protection system. New Orleans Assisted Evacuation Plan call 3-1-1 or 504-658-2558.

Plaquemines Parish: A MANDATORY evacuation for it’s entire east bank and a VOLUNTRAY evacuation for portions of the west bank outside of the government’s levee system (from Oakville Floodgate to Venice).  For those in need of assistance evacuating, call the Parish Community Action and Health Department at 504-297-5000 (Monday – Friday 8 am – 4 pm).

St. Bernard Parish: A MANDATORY evacuation order has been issued for all areas outside the levee system.  Evacuation assistance through the Critical Transportation Needs Program with the parish; call 504-278-4268.

St. John Parish: A MANDATORY evacuation has been issued for St. John Parish north of interstate 55 off ramp in Manchac.  Evacuation assistance triage line 985-536-4955.

Terrebone Parish: A VOLUNTARY evacuation has been issued for all residents outside or south of the Terrebonne Levee and Conservation District Morganza to the Gulf Levee System.

 

CURFEWS

Lafourche Parish: A curfew has been imposed for the city of Thibodaux beginning at 10 pm Saturday, October 7th until Sunday, October 8.

Orleans Parish: A curfew has been imposed for New Orleans by Mayor Mitch Landrieu:  7 pm Saturday, October 7th.

 

HOUSING/SHELTER OPTIONS

Jefferson Parish: The town of Jean Lafitte will open a shelter at the civic center at 2 pm for residents of Lafitte, Barataria, and Crown Point who live in mobile homes and low lying homes.  Residents coming to the shelter are asked to bring necessities for staying overnight.  The building has shower facilities.

Lafourche Parish: Officials ask that individuals provide their own food and water for up to a 72-hour duration.

St. Bernard Parish: An emergency shelter will be available at 4 pm Saturday, October 7th for residents evacuating from outside of the levee system only.  Residents must show a valid ID with current address.

St. Charles Parish: A shelter will open to the public at 4 pm Saturday, October 7th.  Residents are asked to limit themselves to one bag per person, and bring bedding, pillows, medications, towels and toiletries for the stay.

St. Tammany Parish: Shelters open at 4 pm on Saturday, October 7th.  The Creekside Junior High shelter can accommodate the general public and special needs populations.

Terrebone Parish: A shelter is being provided at the Dumas Auditorium in Houma for evacuees from Saturday – Sunday.  Residents needing transportation should call 985-873-6357. Must bring bedding and supplies for 24 hours.

Washington Parish: Shelters open at 5 pm on Saturday, October 7th.
